Today I’m sharing with you this natural light newborn photography session with baby Leo. Hope it will make you smile a little after seeing these beautiful photos of this bubba.

“Baby Leo is here!”, I nearly jumped out of my seat with excitement when I got the text message that Anna had had her baby boy!

Her excitement in her message told me that birth had gone well and that her little family was all overwhelmed with love toward their newest little addition.

I was lucky enough to work with Anna, Dave and little Ariana on a family/maternity session just before Leo’s arrival. Click here to view this heartwarming session!

As I arrived at the family home, I was greeted with a huge smile from Ariana- my little friend from the maternity shoot a few weeks earlier. You can tell how excited everyone was for this newborn session, myself included!

I set up my station as Anna fed little Leo and it was time to make a start!

Baby Leo was just gorgeous. His tiny little features were just perfect to capture! I worked firstly with him by himself on my posing beanbag.

The light filled lounge room space was perfect for the session and we set up by the window with a light curtain defusing the sunlight light- such a perfect space for my session.

Not-so-little Ariana, now upgraded to big sister, was watching me very closely and you can tell she was just dying to help!

Soon enough she was invited to join Leo in the pictures. Oh goodness, he was soooo cute!

We managed to get some beautiful shots with the two of them together as new siblings. These are seriously so precious…

We took a few more with both of them sitting on the couch and you can tell how much they love each other already! Oh, the cute sibling love…

Before long it was time to get parents Anna and Dave in some of the images too. After using the lounge room for some time, we headed to the master bedroom for some family shots.

Here we laughed as Ariana continued to giggle and play in the session. This was so lovely to be a part of!

Mum and dad also had some selfie time with their second born. Leo was such a trooper throughout the photography session giving us all kinds of facial expressions! 

This little guy was also giving us different poses so I couldn’t help but capture these cute moments!

I can’t express how lovely it was to work with this beautiful family again! They have become friends and are always a pleasure to see and capture these special moments for them!

I love walking into their home and seeing my work on the walls. As a photographer that is one of the BEST feelings to be able to see my work on the wall for all to see and being enjoyed by their friends and family.
