This lifestyle newborn photography session with baby Florence was so special! Can’t believe it’s been over a year ago since this gorgeous girl was born at Kilmore Hospital.
The biggest compliment to a photographer is to be invited back to capture the next milestone in your life, and with this lovely couple, I photographed their wedding, an outdoor maternity photoshoot, and now a newborn session with the gorgeous baby Florence.
After working together a few times, you quickly became friends! This newborn photography session felt like catching up with great friends! You know, chatting away as we work… It’s such a privilege to be trusted with such a special time—or three in this case!
Arriving at the beautiful family home, baby Florence was in her basinet. Beautifully dressed and ready for a feed.
We started with the mother and daughter shots, as she was so happy where she was in Yvette’s arms. We did these in Yvette and Mark’s bedroom, where they had magical natural light pouring in, which is imperative to these newborn sessions.
I first got some shots of mum and daughter, followed by some between dad and daughter.
And then the beautiful family of three together…
I love having all the combinations of the family unit and making sure these are all covered in the photography session.
It was so gorgeous seeing them interact with each other and baby Florence just looking up and taking everything in—not to mention a few good snoozes 😴
We also took some beautiful shots in Florence’s beautiful nursery; a very cute little space made just for this little princess.
We then made ourselves out to the lounge area, which is where I had my posing beanbag set, and we did some solo shots of Florence there. These solo shots are so special! Like a debut to the world, you know what I mean?
And then adding in the parents to these photography sessions… Even if it’s just hands or little fingers touching between the parents and baby, it’s incredibly beautiful to capture these little gestures. This has to be one of my favourite things to photograph when it comes to a newborn session!
Thank you again to this beautiful family for having me! It’s been so lovely to be your photographer on all these occasions, and I can’t wait to see Florence grow up! What a beautiful little lady you have!!
