When Belinda reached out to me and asked about a photography session for her beautiful family, I was delighted. She told me about the arrival of little Evie – only fourteen weeks ago – and I couldn’t wait to capture precious moments with my camera.
After arriving at their house in Gisborne, I was greeted by their enthusiastic four-year-old daughter, Ella. She was so excited to show off her little baby sister and grinned from ear to ear. It was lovely to watch as she helped her mum get Evie dressed in her adorable outfit for the shoot.
We started off with some relaxed shots of the two girls splayed out on a pastel coloured rug. Ella was a natural in front of the camera and I got some great candid shots as she cuddled her sister. Her eyes gazed at her with so much love; it felt as though they were best friends already!
We then transitioned to have Belinda and her husband Cam join in as well and got great shots of the four of them. I know they will be able to look back on these images for years to come. There is clearly so much love within this close-knit family, which comes across so clearly in every frame.
Ella then could not wait a moment longer to show me her cubby house. We traipsed outside in the rain to get gorgeous shots of her peeking out from within the gaps of her playhouse. This is clearly where she spends a lot of her time playing, so it is great that they can now hold on to these memories.
As the session came to an end, I couldn’t resist giving Evie a cuddle myself – she was so precious. She clearly gets a lot of love and affection from friends and family. I’d like to extend a massive congratulations to Belinda, Cam and their beautiful little princesses. I was so grateful to capture these special moments you all!
