On the day of little Ariana’s christening, I met Anna and her family at St. John Greek Orthodox Church in North Carlton. They were all so excited for the day ahead and looked fabulous. Ariana was wearing a cute ensemble by Burberry and Anna’s outfit was perfect for the occasion. The rest of the family and friends arrived soon after and before long, the ceremony was underway.
Anna’s sister, Josephine, took the honourable role as godmother; she looked very proud to be there for her niece. The lovely tradition went smoothly and Ariana, despite a few tears, did very well. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear as these special moments took place, many of which were captured with my camera.
The grandmothers stepped aside to help Ariana into the most adorable white lacy dress by Takis and Kathy’s childrenswear. Family and friends lined up to congratulate the family on their day. There were countless hugs, kisses and wonderful moments shared between everyone. From here, we moved on to take some family photos at the front of the church.
We then headed to the incredible Dutchess for the reception. The space was set up so beautifully and everyone gasped as they walked in. A range of impressive finger foods and drinks were provided in abundance. There was a table set with an incredible donut tower by Chocolate No. 5, as well as cake by LaManna Supermarkets. A separate table was filled with bon bons by Petite Cookies.
Guests mingled and enjoyed each other’s company; the atmosphere was filled with joy and happiness for Ariana and her family. Everyone gathered around to listen to some touching speeches. Anna took the lead here and thanked everyone for coming and Josephine shared some heartfelt words as well. It is clear that these sisters have a very special bond, which was lovely to see. They then cut the amazing cake, which we got some great images of.
Thanks so much to everyone for having me on this special day. I had a great time and really enjoyed working with you! Looking forward to seeing you again in the near future.
Best wishes,
Madeleine x
