Dayna the absolute superstar!!
I got an email from her after she has found out that I was to be in Tassie to shoot another wedding on the same weekend as hers.
We organised a call and within the first 5 mins I knew I wanted to shoot this wedding. Her friendly and laid back manner just screamed my own personality and we laughed and chatted for ages!
Don’t you just love that? :)
Dayna and Stu had planned their lovely wedding in Wynyard Tasmania. One place I’ve not yet had the chance to visit but let me tell you the car trip from Launceston to this area was simply amazing!
The gorgeous scenery turned me into the biggest tourist as I drove- stopping off along the way to check it all out.
I was thrilled to meet Dayna in person and she was exactly how I had pictured from our chats.
The girls were getting ready at the most amazing place; check it out here.
As I was going up a driveway, I thought to myself “My goodness, where am I going!?”, there were potholes everywhere before discovering the most fabulous little place.
The view to this place was one in a million!
The girls were calm and we chatted as we got them organised for the day ahead.
Before I know it, it was time for Dayna to get into her dress. Her elegant gown looked absolutely STUNNING on her slim figure.
We used the balcony for some shots and before we knew it – it was time for me to head off to meet the boys at the property.
I arrived to find the marquee and all the little finishing touches were being done.
WOW! The work that had gone in here was amazing.
When I got there, the gorgeous grazing table was just being finished off.
3 words – OH.. MY.. GOODNESS!
Check it out! How incredible does it look? Everyone was swooning over this gorgeous grazing table the entire time. Emily from Platter Me Tas did such an amazing job :P
The boys soon arrived and we did some quick shots before I let them relax before everyone started coming.
As the guests start to arrive, it was in full swing and before long they were ushered down a small hill to where the ceremony would take place.
Such a beautiful set up with bails of hay alongside with some mismatched chairs for guests and family to sit on. The alter was toped off with the most simple yet gorgeous frame where Dayna and Stu would join together in marriage.
The ceremony was lovely, beautifully led by Emma House.
She did such a fabulous job keeping things very calm and casual for the couple.
Once the ceremony had finished, we moved onto some family shots and then we made a plan to have some shots with Dayna and Stu’s gorgeous kids.
What’s not to love about Ariah, 3 years old and Harlow, 1 year old?
After this the couple and I have sourced the perfect spot just across the road from the reception for some more intimate shots!
Absolutely LOVED this forest wedding feels..
The pine plantation is seriously to die for..
These images are just gorgeous and sum up what had already been an amazing day.
When we got back after the photoshoot, the reception was about to start waiting for the new Mr & Mrs! The atmosphere in the marquee was so lovely and relaxed.
Friends and family were having such a great time celebrating the newlywed that you can really feel happiness in the air.
When I thought the day couldn’t get any better, we headed back to the accomodation we had been earlier for the sunset shoot.
And wait for it.. we had one of the BEST sunsets I had ever shot!
Dayna and Stu were thankful for a short alone time, except for me being there of course hehe..
I’m sure you would agree that some fabulous candid shots were beautifully captured here!
Ahh what a wedding! These two are surrounded by such amazing family and friends..
Oh how I would have loved to stay and party with everyone but silly me had an early flight back to Melbourne the next morning.
Dayna and Stu, I want to thank you again for trusting me with your special day!
You two were so amazing to work with and I’ve loved getting to know you.
Your gorgeous little family and the wedding celebrations were simply amazing! I will be coming back your way soon to explore more of that gorgeous area!
We will definitely have to catch up for a vino or two!
Much love
M xx
