This wedding was an extra special one for me.
Why?
Because it was my partner’s sister’s wedding :)
We were so thrilled to hear the news of the engagement that Brent and Mia were getting married and the plans seemed to come together for this occasion very quickly.
They are one very organised couple!!
First of all, their wedding venue was at the Killeen Station.
Ahh hello, this place is absolutely amazing!
Wait till you see the photos..
The day finally arrived and the excitement for celebration filled the air!
Starting the session with the boys at Mia and Brent’s House in Seymour.
A very relaxed and loving vibe which just set the tone for the day..
Working alongside with another great family friend Ryan who was filming the day. From the moment of the boys chilling around the table to them getting ready in the suits!
I must say – they all looked very sharp in those suits..
Soon after I headed to the parents’ house where Mia and the girls were getting ready. We arrived and the hair and makeup had been done. They were all looking so fabulous!
I took a few cute shots of them in their matching floral robes and then it was time to get Mia into her lovely dress. Mia’s mum Leonie had made the wedding gown, where she altered grandma’s wedding dress and added some beautiful additions.
Oh my goodness! She did such a fabulous job!
How gorgeous did Mia look in the wedding gown? :)
After that it was time to head to the church and the buses of guests had also just arrived.
We had a little hiccup on the day and it was sure a bit stressful. But it’s always a good laugh now to think about it. Plus it’s a great wedding story to tell.
You may ask – what happened!?
Just as the ceremony was about to start, the father and us were locked out of the church! But thank God that this was soon resolved with someone getting the keys from the family home and rushing them back to let everyone in before Mia and her girls arrived.
Phew!..
Mia and Brent had their wedding ceremony at a gorgeous church. Although it was small, it really suited the couple as their lovely family and friends witnessed them coming together as husband and wife.
We had decided that the venue was too good not to use it to its full advantage! All location shots for this wedding was mostly done at the Killeen Station.
Don’t you just love it? :)

After the shots were done, we all jumped in our cars and headed off to the reception. Mia and Brent’s guests were welcomed with drinks prior to the reception.
Of course how could we miss the bridal party shots?
They are the best and always so much fun!
We worked with the entire bridal party first and then broke into boys and girls shots. Followed by some shots with only the lovely couple.
I always find this a great way to get those intimate shots. You know, to have the full attention of my couples and at the same time give them some alone time on their special day!
Soon it was time to hit the reception for more fun :)
Wedding guests were welcomed by the bridal party – and the drinks and canapés started flowing!
We gathered their nearest and dearest for some photos together with the perfect greenery in the background.
Although it was a cloudy day, I stole Mia and Brent away for one last session as guests were entering into the reception.
We decided a paddock near the reception was the best and it definitely made for some very lovely shots.
The rest of the night was full of fun! Lots of food, drinks and celebration…
and of course dancing!
Mia and Brent! Ahh you two are legends- and I have to say a very big thank you for trusting me with your wedding photography.
Your bridal party and everyone at the wedding was just so lovely! You guys had planned the most perfect wedding celebration with your family and friends.
Not only did it bring us closer, I had the best time working with you! Thank you!
M xx
