Ok I’m going to come out and say it! This has to be one of my favourite venues in Melbourne!

Yes that’s right, it’s Abbotsford Convent.

Everything about this location is gorgeous!
The gardens, the buildings, the chapel – pretty much the photographer’s dream right here in Melbourne!

After receiving Adel’s email and further with a video call, we knew we wanted to work together. Adel sounded amazing and her ideas for the big day were that of my ideal client!
She was very excited about seeing her wedding plans unfold in the next little while and since she is based in Egypt, she already had family and friends here on the ground checking things out for her.

A pretty smart cookie I say! :)

We managed to meet up before the wedding when Adel was back since last time she was here for her gorgeous engagement session at Port Melbourne Beach. P.S. You should totally check it out HERE.

Adel and Paul’s big day finally arrived and I headed to where the boys were getting ready at the Park Hyatt.

The two were calm and joking around. Their friendship seemed so close and brotherly- it was lovely to see. The session was relaxed as they got themselves organised. It was a preview into what the day was going to be ahead.

We then joined the girls at the airbnb in Abbotsford. Oh my goodness! The house took my breathe away and made the perfect backdrop for the most gorgeous getting ready session.

Adel looked absolutely stunning – both of her make up artist and stylist did such a fantastic job with her make up and hair.

The gorgeous bride was very calm as we arrived and she was having a lovely morning with her family!

Time was going fast and we worked to get the details shot and also the casual shots of the family and bridal preparing for the day ahead.
Before long it was time to get Adel into her wedding dress.

Oh my, what a gorgeous bride!

We headed off to the Chapel at the convent- everyone was arriving and being seated. Paul was waiting patiently for his lovely bride to arrive and to get the ceremony started.
Perfect timing Adel arrived – and soon after her father walked her proudly down the aisle to her douting soon to be husband.

Before we know it, the ceremony concluded and the guests all congratulated the two. The beautiful thing about destination weddings is that you could just feel the excitement in the air as the guests having travelled from far and wide hugged and greeted each other.

Bridal party shots were all taken at the convent- and what a dream this place is. Walking around the location- everywhere we went was just amazing!

So many gorgeous locations within the convent. Not to mention I had the most fun and relaxed bridal party! I am so lucky to call this my job :)

The convent was set up beautifully for the reception- long tables were set for the guests and the dance floor in the middle of the room. The hanging installations and florals were simply amazing!

Before long the Bridal was introduced into the evening.
The night was filled with great speeches, loving heartfelt songs and a great hustling dance floor. It really reflected the couples true personalities and those around them. It was such a pleasure to see.

Adel and Paul, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your special day. Every part of the lead up to your wedding day and the day itself was just incredible I cannot thank you enough.
I had so much fun with you two and I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart.
I know I will see you again soon when you are visiting Melbourne next!
