Oh my, where do I start with this wedding?
For a starter, Pip and Pete were an absolute breeze to work with!
Set in the stunning Launceston, Tasmania, these two had chosen the most perfect venue for their special day. Yes that’s right, Red Feather Inn.
I flew in from Melbourne and hired a car at the airport. Not too far from the airport I arrived to meet the gorgeous couple and their family.
It was so good to have the day before to view the venue and of course to scout the location for amazing shots.
Lots of family and friends started to arrive as well filling the place with celebration of joy!
Pip and Pete had organised a pre wedding dinner so it was great to meet everyone the night before and also have a rehearsal to ensure everything runs smoothly.
The morning was very relaxed as the girls got their hair and make up done at the venue by locals from The Terrace Hairdressing. Pip and her bridesmaids looked amazing!
Hmm check out this gorgeous bride and her ring!
You did so well, Pete ;)
I then went to meet the boys and I took some casual photos of them getting organised for the big day. Pete and his best man giggled as they prepared for the day ahead.
Soon it was time for Pip to get into her gorgeous dress and before we know it, we were on our way to the ceremony.
What I loved the most is that you could tell that the girls all shared a close bond with one another :)
The weather couldn’t have been more stunning as the guests all gathered under the most perfect willow tree. The wedding was led by celebrant Meg Culhane as the couple’s family and friends stood witness to one of the most gorgeous ceremony.
After the ceremony we moved into some family photos, and the couple just relaxed and chatted to guests as we worked. It was such a beautiful and relaxed vibe. The day was just so gorgeous!
I snuck the bridal party away for some shots in the veggie patch. Amazing!
And then stole Pip and Pete away from everyone to the lemon trees for some shots of the two of them.
Pip and Pete wanted the celebration to be more about their family and friends so they were keen to join the party. Although we didn’t have a huge amount of time for photos, the ones we got of them was just wonderful!!
As we finished up with the photos, the guests were invited to take their seats for the luncheon.
Set at long tables and dressed wth stunning flowers- the guests all walked in overwhelmed by its beauty. Such a beautiful day.
I know Pip and Pete personally so I was beyond happy when I received a call from them seeing if I could photograph their wedding but also be invited as a guest. I had a fabulous time and I have to say it was the most relaxed wedding I have ever shot!
Your family and friends are just the most gorgeous people! I must say truly reflects who you guys are. I am absolutely thrilled to see you married up and so happy!
Thanks so much for having me as a part of your special day.
Much love,
M
